PrestaShop keeps a separate name and description for each language the shop runs in, and those fields are often empty or copied. - Do you need FTP or database access to our PrestaShop?Normally not. The work goes through the Webservice, which you switch on yourself and for which you create a key limited to named resources such as orders or products. Direct access to files or the database comes up only when a module keeps its data outside the Webservice, and then it is written into the spec first.
- Will an automation survive a PrestaShop upgrade?It is less exposed than a module, because it works from outside and changes no shop code. An upgrade or a new module can still rename a field or add an order state, so put a check of the automation on the list for every major upgrade and run it before the new version goes live.
