OAKMONTDevelopment bench

Microsoft 365, connected to the rest of your company.

Microsoft 365 holds a piece of your business; the manual work lives in the gaps around it. We build the automations that close those gaps, against your existing account, with a person signing off on anything that matters.

What Microsoft 365 is

Microsoft 365 is Microsoft's subscription that combines the Office applications with cloud services: Outlook mail and calendars on Exchange Online, files in OneDrive and SharePoint, Word, Excel and Teams. Companies of every size run it, managed by an administrator for the whole organisation. The firm's correspondence, its calendars and most of its documents and spreadsheets live there.

What an automation reads and writes there

  • Emails and attachments in personal and shared mailboxes
  • Calendar events and meeting invitations
  • Files and folders in OneDrive and SharePoint
  • Tables and rows in Excel workbooks
  • User accounts and groups

Work that gets built around Microsoft 365

  1. Shared mailbox sorted and answered

A message arrives in a shared mailbox such as office@. It is read and put in a category; where the answer is known a reply goes out from Outlook, and everything else waits for a person with a short summary. You decide which categories may be answered without review. Catalogue price: $490 for setup and $79 per month for care.

    Built as: Inbox triage
  2. Accounts and checklist for a new hire

HR enters a start date. Documents are collected from the new employee, the Microsoft 365 account, licence and group memberships are prepared for the administrator to approve, training is assigned and tracked, and the checklist closes as each step is done. Catalogue price: $1,190 for setup and $79 per month for care.

  3. Contracts in SharePoint, deadlines watched

A signed contract is saved to a SharePoint library. It is summarised, unusual clauses are flagged, and the renewal date and notice window are entered in a register. A person checks the summary, and reminders appear in the contract owner's Outlook calendar before each window closes.

Before you automate against it

Access is granted by your Microsoft 365 administrator, who registers an application in Microsoft Entra ID and consents to specific permissions. A mail permission given to an application covers every mailbox in the organisation unless the administrator restricts it, so ask for a restriction to the one shared mailbox the work needs.

The controls

  1. How we connect Through Microsoft 365's own interfaces - API where it exists, structured exports and the mailbox where it does not. Nothing installed inside your Microsoft 365 account behind your back.
  2. What usually gets built Data leaving Microsoft 365 into invoices, CRM records and reports; data arriving into Microsoft 365 from orders, forms and mail - the retyping in both directions is the work that disappears.
  3. The controls A written spec, a full run record, an approval queue for consequential steps, and a signed proof afterwards. The same four controls every OAKMONT automation runs with.

Common questions

  1. How does an automation get access to Microsoft 365 mail and files?Through Microsoft Graph, the public API for Microsoft 365. Your administrator registers an application in Microsoft Entra ID, grants it only the permissions the work needs, for example reading one mailbox or one SharePoint site, and can remove it again at any time. No employee's password is handed over.
  2. Can an automation read Excel files kept in SharePoint or OneDrive?Yes. Workbooks stored in OneDrive or SharePoint can be read and written through Microsoft Graph, down to a table or a range of cells. It works best when the data sits in a named table with fixed column headers. A sheet where people insert columns freely is the usual reason a flow stops.
  3. Can OAKMONT automate Microsoft 365?Yes - Microsoft 365 is on the creator's systems list, and automations are built against your existing account through its own interfaces. Describe the workflow and a person replies with a fixed quote.
  4. What does a Microsoft 365 automation cost?Catalogue prices start at $490 for a single delivered workflow, with care from $79/month. The fixed price for your case is confirmed by a person in writing before any work starts.
  5. Is our Microsoft 365 data safe?Every automation runs with a written spec and a full run record, consequential steps wait for human approval, and for work that must never leave your building there is the Private AI Box - the whole stack on your own hardware.
