A large catalogue with several store views has thousands of description fields, many of them empty in the second language. Before you automate against it
In Magento an order is not one record: invoices, shipments and credit memos are separate documents, and a product can hold different values per website and store view, so a write at the wrong scope changes the wrong storefront. Access is an integration created in the admin with a limited list of resources.

What differs is which features are present, because that depends on the edition and on the modules installed. The spec therefore starts from an inventory of your installation, not from an assumption about Magento in general.
- Does our Magento agency have to be involved?Briefly, yes. Someone with admin rights has to create the integration and limit the resources it may use, and the agency knows which custom modules touch orders, stock or prices. The automation itself runs outside the store and talks to its web API, so nothing is added to the store's code without your knowledge.
